She has lived locally since the age of five and grew up in Diboll, Texas. Sophie graduated from Diboll High School in 1993 and started her nursing career in 1996. She received her LVN / RN from Angelina College in Lufkin, Texas and earned her BSN from Stephen F. Austin State University in Nacogdoches, Texas.

After twenty-two (22) years of nursing experience in Med-surg, Women’s and Children Practice, Pediatrics, and Labor and Delivery, Sophie went on to complete a Master of Science in Nursing degree and Family Nurse Practitioner program in 2018 from Walden University.
