New Patients at First Choice Family Medicine
Welcome to First Choice Family Medicine
Starting with a new provider can feel overwhelming. At First Choice Family Medicine, our goal is to make your first visit feel comfortable, clear, and centered around you.
What to Expect at Your First Visit
Your first appointment is about more than symptoms—it’s about understanding you.
Here’s what that looks like:
A Conversation, Not a Rush
We take time to listen to your concerns, symptoms, health history, and goals. Many patients tell us this is the first time they’ve felt truly heard.
A Whole-Picture Approach
We look beyond one symptom at a time. Your lifestyle, stress, sleep, hormones, and overall health all matter, and we consider them together.
Clear Next Steps
If we recommend labs, testing, or treatments, we’ll explain why, what they mean, and what your options are so you can make informed decisions with confidence.
A Personalized Plan
Whether you’re here for primary care, wellness, or specialized services, your care plan is tailored to your body and your needs.
How Payment Works
We believe healthcare should be accessible and transparent. First Choice Family Medicine offers both insurance-based care and cash-pay options, depending on the service.
Insurance
We accept many major insurance plans for primary care and medically necessary services. Coverage varies by plan, so our team is happy to help answer questions before your visit.
Please note that we do not accept Medicare or Medicaid.
Cash Pay
Many of our wellness, aesthetic, and advanced treatment services are offered on a cash-pay basis. This allows for flexibility, personalized care, and extended visit times without insurance limitations.
Concierge Service/Direct Primary Care Plan
We’ll always explain costs upfront so there are no surprises.
If you’re unsure which option applies to your visit, just ask. We’re happy to help.
New Patient FAQs
How do I schedule my first appointment?
You can call our office at (936) 699-5275. Our team will help you choose the right appointment type based on your needs.
What should I bring to my first visit?
Please bring a photo ID, insurance card (if applicable), a list of current medications, and any recent lab results or medical records you’d like us to review.
Do you accept new patients for primary care?
Yes. We welcome new patients for primary care, wellness services, and specialty treatments.
Will I need lab work?
Not always, but if we recommend labs, we’ll explain what we’re checking and why. Lab testing helps us look for root causes and guide personalized care.
What if I’ve been told my symptoms are “just part of aging”?
Many of our patients come to us after feeling dismissed elsewhere. We take your concerns seriously and work with you to understand what’s really going on.
Can I discuss multiple concerns in one visit?
Yes. We encourage open conversations and do our best to address all your concerns during your appointment.
Better Health Starts Here
You don’t have to keep guessing, pushing through symptoms, or feeling unheard. At First Choice Family Medicine, we’re here to guide you, support you, and help you move toward feeling like yourself again.
